Hey everyone, Im looking to pick up a larger exhaust for my GSR. Does anyone know if any company besides thermal makes an exhaust(catback) for the GSR that is larger then 2.25? I just want to know what my options are.
Thanks

And to add to that... If I'm gonna go 7 psi Drag 3, should I get a 2.5" or a 3"?

Your ears and your local police should be the deciding factor in how large an exhaust to get. For FI applications, the bigger the better.
Greddy Power Extreme is 60mm (a bit larger than 2.25") until the muffler, where it expands to 70mm (close to 3").
Apexi N-1 is also large. I don't know exactly.
How about a plain old crush bent, 3" piping from a decent muffler shop and a generic turbo muffler or supertrap? I don't think mandrels bends matter much once you get to 3" piping.

Turismo:
I don't even know what the EVO is!
I kind of stopped paying attention to the bolt on market after getting i/h/e and the sc.
My car is running great now and has proven over the last 5 FI months that everything is screwed on correctly and nothing is ready to fall off, so I'm keeping the hood (and my wallet
) closed, driving w/o a care and spending some time thinking about things other than cars. The Horror!

Greg,
Do you know if the EVO system share the same 60mm piping as the PE Greddy kit? And are there any other important differences between the two (power, sound)?

Just for reference, 60mm is 2.362" or 2 3/8"...
I have the Tanabe' Racing Medallion on my car in this size.
As for the "bigger is better" idea: I believe that this is only totally true in a turbo application. Although I am not an Exhaust expert, it is my understanding that some backpressure is good for a supercharged car...

Gang,
Just a note, I went with a custom 2.5 inch exhaust with str8 thru muffler for the SC car. I was hoping to pull a lil more power vs running the usual 2.25 or 2.36 setups.
Went to the dyno:
No difference from the guys running smaller exhausts.
I say the 2.25 and 2.36 do the job.
